The past two weeks were really spent normally doing normal things i.e. eat, shop, movie, dvds and wii-ing. Partly because Quan was down with fever and cold since last Sunday and had to stay home and rest for a couple of days. Haha, not much pictures also.

Anyway, backtrack a little. Last friday was quan's birthday and we had dinner with his family and relatives at the House of Seafood along Yio Chu Kang Road. Their crabs are really FRESH and HUGE with plenty of flesh! We ordered the chilli and the black pepper crabs and though i usuallty prefer chilli crab, i must say that the black pepper ones are better here cos i feel that the chilli sauce is a tad too watery and has got too little egg in it. The other dishes, such as the hot plate deer meat (the meat is very tender) and the fried baby sotong, are not bad too. And I must say the price is rather reasonable - about $230 (after 10% discount) for 10 people.

Something interesting happened though - we got a chocolate cake from Four Leaf and coincidentally, there was this other table of people who got exactly the same cake as us but smaller size. Then the servers actually gave us the wrong cake, but luckily we got our bigger cake back before the cakes were cut and eaten!

This week's WEEKEND TODAY newspaper actually had an article on House of Seafood, with special mention about this red-haired, funky auntie (one of the waitresses) who's very friendly and sociable, and who served us the other day. Haha!

Yea, caught two movies over the past week, namely Sex and the City and Kungfu Panda.

A show that revolves around relationships and women in New York City. Pretty light-hearted and entertaining enough to last about 2h 20mins without feeling dreadful. Of cos, its one of the chick flick kind of show so dun expect a spectacular plot.

Kung fu panda was quite funny. Another light-hearted show worth watching if u just wanna have a good laugh. Lasts about 1hour 30min.

I think Quan's sis got the same prob as her bro leh, cannot smile properly in the camera one =P

Today, my family celebrated my Dad's birthday cum next week's Dad's Day. Went down to this cantonese restaurant (which my mum likes) along Tanjong Pagar Road for dinner.
Haha, and my Dad received hand-made cards from his granddaughters i.e.my nieces. I remember I used to make such cards for my parents when I was young too!
