mental distress

Read this report on sunday times and i seriously think i m highly at risk of mental disorder.

"Perfectionists are at risk of having mental problems, US studies show."

There are three categories according to the report:
1. Self-oriented strivers who struggle to live up to their high standards and appear to be at risk of self-critical depression
2.outwardly focused zealots who expect perfection from others, often ruining relationships
3. those desperate to live up to an expectation they're convinced others expect of them, a risk factor for suicidal thinking and eating disorders.

I m so sure i fall into the first category.

some symptoms i experience:
1. I either get on very well with people or not at all
2. cannot bear a messy desk ( i always think my room is unsightly)
3. impossible to leave a job half-done, to finish the next day (does not apply to work but when i have something i want to do/eat, i usually have to do it immediately, even if it makes no practical sense)
4. put in ludicrously long hours redoing tasks, chasing an ideal only they could see (ya, thats why i always complain that i m inefficient)

ya... i dun feel stress.. but i think i m unknowingly. and its showing up in all physical conditions.
