Yea, so free to blog!
I have been very very slack on this job ( a large govt entity audit which spans across several months). I was supposed to be booked from 7 Apr to 6 Aug, I came in 2 weeks later and will be released this Fri on 13 June. Alot of people are also released early or made to clear leave/toil. Despite this, I have been slacking like mad for the past 2-3 weeks. I come in at about 9- 9.15 and leave before 6 everyday. On top of that, we have 1.5-2hours lunch break. Ya, slacking is good when u have been busy for some time and need a break. But when u have been slacking too much (time passes so slowly), u wish u have things to do. And we rejoice with enthusiasm when the managers finally return the files after reviewing (because we will have things to do then). In conclusion, a balance is always the ideal. This also explains why i dun really like doing OA (office admin) in the office because u do things that dun add value and time passes so slowly.
Yeap, and in about 3 weeks, I will be seconded to the Internal Audit department for a year! Looking forward to it yet a bit scared cos I don't really know what to expect. I hope its more meaningful than what I am doing now at least! Well, I am never really able to convince myself that the client's financial statements are 'free from material misstatement' based on the work i do in external audit. But then again, maybe its because I am just an associate and the areas i touch on have little risks.
Woahho, and i m looking forward to my bonus and pay rise in end July, though a big part of it will be used to pay off my laptop loan. but at least i can clear my debt!
